Rev. David R. Wood
I grew up in Plattsburgh, attending the First Baptist Church and after college, moved to Hudson Falls for three years with my wife, Donna. Doing youth work for the Adirondack Association of American Baptist Churches which included Jr. High retreats and Sr. High canoe trips, I felt God's call to ministry and attended Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA.
Graduating in 1979, I was called to the United Church of Lincoln, Vt. as their first full-time pastor in 20 years, and ended up spending 38 years serving the church there. I have served on the General Board of American Baptist Churches USA, been President of the Vermont/New Hampshire Baptist Convention, and Minister's Council President, also serving as regional delegate to the National Minister's Council of ABC/USA. In retirement since 2017, I have been an interim in Glens Falls and Fort Edward, NY and in Starksboro and Huntington, Vt. I still reside with my wife, Donna in Lincoln, Vt.
